ABOUT US

Taigum Kids Early Learning Centre has recently undergone the Assessment and Rating process in August 2015 and has been awarded the highest rating of ‘Exceeding the National Quality Standard’ by ACECQA. We treat each child with respect and dignity and allow children the freedom to grow as individuals. We endeavour to provide our children with a sense of Belonging where they feel accepted and are able to develop attachments and trust in their Educators. It’s our aim to work with all Families to provide a nurturing and stimulating early learning environment for all children in our care.
At Taigum Kids Early Learning Centre we embrace and celebrate all cultures. We provide ongoing support for all families through the transition from home into their new learning environment within the child care setting. At Taigum Kids we uphold and respect the importance of families being the first and foremost educators of their children. This is supported through the collection and sharing of information about each individual child between the families and the educators. We openly welcome families to participate in our service by establishing an Open Door Policy. We are open 52 weeks a year and closed only for Public Holidays Experienced, professional, dedicated and creative long standing staff Bachelor trained teacher delivering the Kindergarten program Interactive TV and Ipads within the kindergarten program Sustainability is embedded in the Centres Philosophy though, worm farms, compost, vegetable gardens and chicken eggs Water World Mini bike track are some of the fun outdoor activities we offer at our Centre all freshly made nutritious meals provided daily Car park available Free Centre hat upon enrolment All meals included Nappies, wipes and sunscreen provided

I have been at Taigum Kids ELC 1 for quite a few years and I really believe that this is where I belong. My role as Centre Manager has been both inspirational and amazing. I always thought that I was meant to be in a studio with the children, but now I have the best of both worlds.

I started my career in 1995 and this pathway then extended to completing my Diploma, Advanced Diploma and also my Cert III in Training and Assessment. I have always been very passionate about my position in child care and I thoroughly enjoy every day. I truly believe that if you find a job you love, you will never have to work a day in your life.

Taigum Kids ELC is my second home and it is really important to me that our families feel that when they walk through our door. I believe that if we can give our families that “goose bump” feeling when they walk through our centre and meet our dedicated educators, than they need not look any further.

Dear Families and Staff,
We wish to advise you that Kids Early Learning Centre Services are remaining open and operational to continue to provide quality education, care and support.

Please note that the Australian Government is continuing to work on keeping childcare Services open as an essential service to families and the community. However please note that the Early Learning Sector is working collectively with the Australian Government to ascertain what the funding arrangements would be in the event that the Government required childcare Services to close.

We will ensure Families and Staff receive all required information, including information in relation to payment of fees, as updates are provided by the Australian Government relating to the Early Learning sector.

We appreciate your continued support and patience as we all work through these unprecedented events together.

The safeguarding of the health and wellbeing of our children, staff and wider communities is our top priority and we will continue to act in accordance with the latest public health advice from the Australian Government.

If you have questions regarding how to best utilise your Childcare Subsidy (CCS) please speak to your Centre Manager.
